 FREDDIE
KNOLLER was born in Vienna in 1921. He lived happily with his parents
and his two brothers until 11 March 1938, when Austria was annexed by
Germany. His life, during the tragic period 1938 - 1945, reads like
a novel: arrests, prison, escapes, hiding with false papers, joining
the resistance and concentration camps. But luck and courage saved him
from extermination.
